Not seen it mentioned so I thought I'd, err, mention it.

If you have a o2 business mobile account you can get a vitual land line number or a free phone number that will diveert the calls to your mobile/s.

Landline - £10 PM
Freephone - £15 PM

Both all inclusive, according to o2, ie. no other charges, also web based voice mail, call logging, etc.

Mobile Landline

What is it?
A new service that allows customers to have a landline number that goes straight through to their mobile.
Business people are spending more and more time away from their desks, offices and homes – Mobile Landline gives them the benefits of a mobile and landline number – on one device.

No costly diverts. No hassle. No more missed opportunities.
With Mobile Landline customers have one phone, one supplier, one bill and one voicemail box.

It’s easy to get up and running…
Customers can keep their existing BT landline number by transferring it over to us. Or we can set up a new number for them – they can choose from a local ‘geographical’ number (starting 01 or 02) or a freephone number (starting 0808).

Who is it for?
Business customers

* Smaller businesses can look larger and more established – having landline numbers gives scale and credibility
* Large businesses can have that local touch – local landline numbers can help bigger businesses seem approachable, contactable and just around the corner. This is especially handy for those who have field based people – sales, engineers and so on

Why should customers choose Mobile Landline?

* Attract more business
* Never miss another opportunity – no more missed calls
* All the benefits of a landline number without the associated costs and there’s no need to move equipment if a customer relocates
* Flexibility – customers can link multiple landline numbers to one mobile and vice-versa
* Great online reporting and management – customers can see how many calls they actually miss and plan their people’s time more effectively. This is also useful for tracking marketing campaigns

Larger businesses

* Local presence – without the costs associated with regional offices
* Appear approachable, contactable and just around the corner
* Drive efficiencies across their business. By deploying multiple landline numbers they can make sure priority calls are handled first and use the online monitoring to make sure they have the appropriate resources available at the right time.

How does it work?
Customers can have one landline number that goes straight through to their mobile, but they can also choose to:

* Link up to five landline numbers to one mobile. This is likely to appeal to customers who want to have a presence in several areas or have different numbers for different purposes – eg service and sales
– Customers will be charged for each landlinenumber
* Link up to ten mobiles to one landline number. This is known as a call group and is likely to appeal to customers who want a team to manage their inbound calls – for example leads going into a sales team
– Customers will be charged an additional monthly fee for each mobile in their call group

How much does it cost?

Anything else?

* If a customer is unavailable, the call will go through to their voicemail
* Not everyone wants to work 24/7, so customers can set an office closed message
* Callers will be charged as if they are ringing a landline number – not a mobile
* Customers who take Mobile Landline at point of connection or re-sign will have the same term as applies to their mobile contract
* For existing customers taking this mid-contract, a minimum term of 12 months applies
* Customers can only port BT landline numbers and they must also be billed by BT
* Porting up to ten numbers can take up to seven working days. Over ten numbers can take up to 17 working days
* Customers who port a number must sign a Porting Authorisation Form. Any other services on that line, such as broadband or fax will cease
* When a customer with Mobile Landline makes a call from their mobile, their mobile number will be displayed on the recipient’s phone
* If a customer has one landline number that goes though to their mobile, the number of their caller will be displayed when they receive a call
* If a customer has multiple landline numbers linked to their mobile, the number of their caller will be displayed when they receive a call. If the customer would prefer the landline number to be displayed they can request this via Customer Services. This is likely to appeal to customers using different numbers for campaigns or for different audiences, such as existing customers and prospects
* If a customer has a landline number linked to several mobiles – they can choose from prioritised ringing (where the primary mobile rings first, followed by the secondary and so on) or simultaneous/group ringing (where all the mobiles ring together)
– If they choose prioritised ringing, their mobile will display the caller’s number. If they choose simultaneous ringing, it will display the fixed number.
