Turned on my V+ (new style box) this morning and found that the box was stuck on LD:30 when starting up, with it occasionally flicking back to LD:20 but not going any further. A quick google doesn't result in much, apart from LD:20 being a feed problem?

I've only had the V+ box for less than 2 months and judging by how long the wait for an engineer is, i'd rather try and fix it myself if anyone know's about this error message?

Any help would be appreciated.

1. You can't fix it yourself, it's not yours to f### about with
2. The problem you suggest is the feed. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the feed is outside of the V+ box itself, but part of the network.

You've already been advised on another forum to call customer services, why not take that advice?

Sorry chap, but the box isn't yours to piss about with.

Sounds like you may have a little wait for an engineer, but thats tough cheese. They'll sort it.

Ring up VM customer service / and or check the website - if there is a fault in your area they will know about it. Much more likely than a box problem

I didn't mean i was going to open the box up and tinker with it. I meant a simple solution of doing X,Y and Z. I called VM, they asked me to power the box off, back on and they sent a signal to it, no joy. Engineer is booked for Monday afternoon so have to sit in front of the PC to watch the F1 now frown

F1 is on the BBC free of charge, just switch your TV to BBC1.

Yep, internet is working fine at home, just the box isn't getting past LD:30. From the post i had on the cable forum, a VM engineer has seen it and going to give me a call this evening to see if he can help, if not, will have to wait till Monday for the engineer to come to the flat

So the cable coming into the house is okay. Have you checked the cable to the V Box? There will be a split somewhere from the main incoming cable, maybe outside? Check connections could be that simple.

I tried swapping it over with my internet cable and it didn't make any difference. I had a post on cableforum and a user PM'd me who works at VM, he had a look on the system as he has dealt with a few Ld:30 prolems, changed the frequency of the box and a couple of button presses by me and it was all working again, happy days smile
