I've dropped him an email so hopefully I can get hold of him. I'm at the 'daydreaming but with the cash' stage of starting a new project, it's going to be something mid engined, and I always liked the look of the 037.

I think Guy Moerenhout may be selling them now: http://www.abarth-gmr.be/new/parts.php?dzial=BODY%...

I can't say for sure if it's the same kit or not.

Here's some more info:

Is it front wheel drive then if it uses the fiat drive-train?

Engein & transmission aer fitted in the back, so no, it's RWD. Same basic idea as the Stratos copies.

My wife saw one being driven on the M25 last week.

I couldn't believe it at first, but it was a Martini replica 037.

Anyone on here ?

There was a guy competing in a Sprint with me a couple of weeks back with a GENUINE Stradale 037, he drove it round the M25 but it was red. He even let me WHACK! the starter motor with my hammer while he turned the key! The car was cool as f***.

This new kit in NZ is coming along nicely. They are selling front and rear sub-frames as well as body work.

Really good looking work; but how many will actually get built?

Total production of the Motecarlo was very limited according to the Wikipedia entry below. Knowing the Lancia's love for the tin-worm, how many are left to modify?

"Total production amounted to 3,835 first series Beta Montecarlos, 1,940 second series Montecarlos and 1,801 US market Scorpions"

With both sub-frames and all of the bodywork, you're not far from a full tube-frame chassis - no donor required smile
