i have not seen or heard anything yet about a dvd release for the 2009 fia season on dvd. would this by chance have anything to do with the motors tv disaster coverage .. i hope there is a dvd as this season has been the best there has been in terms or racing records and weather for a long time.

Do I or do I not remember the video rights being signed over to the consortium led by a group of Scandinavian pro racers at the begining of 2009?

A 2009 FIA DVD is in preparation at the moment and will be announced on Eurodragster when it is available.

The Speedgroup website, dormant for a while, is also being re-jigged and revived.

Tip of the day for PH-ers: Set your homepage to www.eurodragster.com and you'll never miss an important news item ever again

It was clear when RWJ declared on here (but not on Eurodragster whistle ) that there would be a 2009 FIA DVD, that the right hand didn’t know what the left hand was doing.
My post was the statement from the horse’s mouth, namely one of those well-known distributors, and host of two FIA rounds. Go figure. But whatever the problems and misinformation I am very pleased there will be 2009 DVD. All we need now is someone to make up their mind whether the DVD is “now ready for mail order” or when “stock arrives” whistle

Not sure where you get “now ready for mail order” from, the Eurodragster article clearly states "orders are now being accepted" and "will endeavour to dispatch... but cannot make any guarantees until stock arrives"...

I thought selective quotes were the exclusive domain of 9/11 conspiracy theorists. Robin also said in the same posting that it "will be announced on Eurodragster when it is available". Which it was, in fact the piece was posted within an hour of its arrival earlier this week when most of you were probably in bed sleeping peacefully. Even we can't run a news item before we receive it.

Just watched it and just a few points /questions

Some great footage

Who was doing commentry from Hockenheim?

Why is the sound of the engines so quiet ?

Please can they watch the final version of the 2010 season DVD before putting it on sale and maybe then there will not be so many errors.

Overall enjoyed it BUT hopefully Speedgroups 2010 DVD will be vastly improved.
