The reason I love the Ultima so much is that I see it as a sort of small practical Group C car, a look I have always admired. However, I have always wanted the Group C painting etc. to go on the car.
Any thoughts on a painting scheme for a road legal track car?
Have been doing some Photoshop myself but would appreciate some advice. Not remotely interested in subtle - OTT is good!!

For me its the Silk Cut Jags. As a youngster they were my joint favourite contender on the Scalextric track, along with the JPS Lotus of course. ETA - and maybe this?

I like the 'Silk Cut' and others like it but am unhappy with the way it would break up the Ultima lines. The Bentley or Harrods scheme would work better.

It has to be the 956 Porsche as the classic group c. I very nearly had the full wrap done on mine last year but Rothmans is a bit non PC these days even though I have a lot of history with the company

Tell you what. Anyone think that the Ultima's shape has stood the test of time well compared to some of the shapes above? Never thought I'd hear myself saying that!

The rear end of the Ultima still looks remarkably good. Some of the attempts at modernising the rear simply detract from the smooth lines. Just needs a tad of cheering up at the front (IMHO of course)

White seems to be an important component in many a good race car livery. Thought this pic shows interesting colour variations..
