Thought i should put up a Proper post about my M3 Project.

Car is now complete and took a little under 2 weeks from Start to Finish.

I know some people forwn about Playing with the M3 etc but ive never been one to follow the crowd and wanted to build something that stood out.

The car wasnt damaged in anyway and was a perfect low miles Mint Carbon Black M3 with FSH etc and the likes of Hamon kardon etc. Immaybe Crazy but thougt what the hell.

Ive never been one to Mess about so things moved VERY Fast with my M3 Project.

I bought the car 3 weeks ago as 100% Standard Carbon Black M3 but ive always loved a project, the last one Being a Grey Porsche Cayenne V8s that i had fitted with loads of speedart goodies then the colour changed to white.

So after buying the M3 a few week ago i fitted some 20" Wheels but after fitting them decided they wasnt for me and they had to go.

I found a pic of this American M3 on the net and loved it and wanted to use it as a rough idea of what i was going to build.

So the 20s were Removed and 19"LM's fitted and the car was stripped bare and the fun began.

Since then the car has had 3 guys working 15 hours a day on it all week for me and the quality is nothing short of outstanding.

The guy i use for my bodywork is one the best up here and is well known for painting the likes of Porsche 911 Cup Cars etc.

This is aint no wrap, the whole car inside and out has been painted Audi Ibis white.

All Carbon bits are seriously stunning Quality in the flesh and not cheap ebay sticky on jobbies lol.

Bumpers with the CSL Goodies will be back on the car tommorow and then ill get some proper pics along with the other bits still to be fitted

How it looked Last week.1/12/09, i fitted these 20" wheels but HATED them.

Some more poor quality progress pics that dont do the car justice but you get the idea of what was going on

12/12/09 and the car is Complete

Happy is an understatement.

Rear Bumper fitment isnt 100% but will be sorted and im unsure of the Carbon spoiler but in the flesh is alot better and is Growing on me.

My aim wasnt to build a CSL Replica so i didnt, i wanted to be Diff and add my own ideas to the car which i think seem to work well.

Car is soooo Bright its unreal and the looks it gets is Nuts

Red Leather goes really nice with the white.

Wont be to everyones taste but i hope you like, im Off to find a Superchgarger wink

Brad

Pics aint the best quality as i used my own, i will get better ones soon.

Some before i fitted the love it or hate it Carbon Spoiler

Its been a Busy 2 weeks but its been fun.

The Pics dont do the car justice and the looks it gets is UNREAL, on a 30min Drive, i spotted 3 people taking pics of it. Deffo stands out in the flesh.

I've seen another white E46 m3 in Aberdeen, usually parked in tillydrone ( of all places!) With a monaro. Not sure if im keen on it or not, but having seen your cayenne I know you don't care what others think tongue out

Fair play mate!

If it were mine I wouldnt have done the roof as you did. White all over probably. It just seems like every other customised BMW has the carbon (look?) roof. Otherwise I quite like it. You're right too, you dont hang about!

Good work, I like it; I like the black roof, although it would look better without a sunroof but nothing can be done about that on an M3. I would be tempted to add some paint to the rear spolier and just leave the tip in carbon, it looks a bit too big as it is.

Lovely motor.

Not sure on the carbon spoiler and spliters, but each to their own.

I preferred it as it was I'm afraid, apart from the 20's wink

All white might have been nice, but I'm not a fan of carbon unless it's functional. Especially when it's left unpainted, just so every one knows it's carbon.

As long as you like it though, that's the main thing smile

Rear spoiler just looks cheap and crap imo, rest of the car is really nice and it all works rather well smile

I have to admit I don't really understand why so many people think they can make a car look better than the manufacturer did. They rarely can.

I'm not keen, BTW.

Leave the spoiler, the back of the car looks too white without it.

Lovely E46, if you dont mind, may i ask how much you have spent on carbon fibre?

I like it.

It is definitely very personal and you have manufactured it exactly to your tastes. Fair play to you.

(IMO Rear spoiler is OK but I like the idea of it painted with CF tips.)

I would seriously love that if you lost all the stick on carbon fibre bits and bobs, but that's just my personal taste.
Looks well done, congrats on owning a lovely clean car!

Also the rear lights look like pre-facelift ones..Get them updated to the LED ones that can be found on the last of the E46 shape.
