Aston Martin Carbon Black Editions

DBS and V12 Vantage get special paint and interiors

The new DBS Carbon Black Edition
The new DBS Carbon Black Edition
Aston Martin has unveiled a pair of special editions based on the DBS and V12 Vantage, featuring bespoke Carbon Black metallic paint and Obsidian Black leather interiors.

For the V12 Vantage the iconic Aston Martin side strake has been fashioned from carbon fibre backed by a black mesh and complimented with gloss black 10 spoke diamond turned alloy wheels. A bright finished grille and front parking sensors (normally an option) complete the exterior detailing.

Inside, apart from the black leather with contrasting silver stitching, lightweight seats formed from carbon fibre and Kevlar also feature. You get Piano Black facia trim, centre stack and centre console, anodised black tread plates and unique sill plaques to build on the carbon theme.

The Aston Martin 700w Premium Audio System is delivered as standard in the V12 Vantage while the DBS gets the Bang & Olufsen Beosound DBS audio system.

Aston says its new Carbon Black Editions are available to order from the official Aston Martin dealers now with final pricing to be confirmed in the New Year. (They're expected to be approximately 5 percent over base prices - currently £167k for the DBS and £135k for the V12 Vantage.) Deliveries will commence from March.

Very nice.

I already have a black one with a black on black interior.

This must be the "None more Black" edition.*

I got it.... ;-) lol!

I have to say, this is verging on automotive porn! What a stunning looking thing....

Unoriginal? Who cares!!! When it looks THIS good, then they could call it "Ford Cortina" for all I care! I would buy it (if funding would allow. Alas, it doesn't....) in an instant!! Wonderful thing!

Dear Santa....

Still not convinced about the slightly 'bling' wheels, but both are stunning with the V12 Vantage just edging it for me - just imagine the grin as you started it up on a clear spring Sunday morning....sigh!

Carbon black, obsidian black, piano black ?

I guess black isn't black anymore.!!

I guess I'd have one though if I had the dosh -so would my Solicitor -to add to his green one & about 4 classic Jaguars too.

But then charging £200 an hour not surprising is it?

And they talk about Bankers ?? Jeez.

I also have a black one with a black interior with black controls.

Is this even blacker or somethin?

"I mean, when you try an operate one of these weird black controls which are labelled in black on a black background, a small black light lights up black to tell you you’ve done it"

Hmm, now where have I heard that before? (hehe)

Those are fantastic! What a contrast from what Aston revealed earlier in the week. I just wish the V12 Vantage was available here in the land of Yankee.frown

I am not usually a fan of black cars, and this is no exception.
