Did you use this to replace the copper part or just the rubber hose?

My only caution here, from experience, is that if you use proper 8mm fuel clamps on this hose then they may not clamp down tightly enough. OK at first but may work loose. I was lucky and spotted it on start up a few weeks later... Get some that clamp a bit tighter.

Ian.

Just the rubber hose.

8mm copper for the hard lines - purchased from the plumbers merchants and flared the ends myself.
Standard fuel hose for the rubber from my local engineering place.
New clips.

I was gong to replace the whole lot with braided hose, but its a tight squeeze in some of the routing so in the end I just replaced like-for-like.

Do you really mean "standard fuel hose" ? or did you mean high pressure fuel hose. Dangerously different !

Sorry for the confusion, I meant bog-standard high pressure fuel hose. As opposed to braided or insulated or whatnot.

You may be right, its a while since i changed mine and that sounds familiar wink get a cheap set of vernier calipers on the steel fuel pipe on the rear of the engine to check to confirm smile

I've still got some bits of the old rubber fuel lines, and the new copper pipe I used when refurbishing mine. I can measure them if you like.

Wouldn't be surprised if there are examples of both 7mm and 8mm.... these are TVRs don't forget :-D

You're best measuring your own rather than relying on what someone else has.

Air con cars are 7mm as the exchanger unit has smaller diameter inlet and outlet....Adrian@
