If you put rain x on your windscreen, does it all come off as soon as you use your wipers?

What about when you wash the car?

If not, how long does it last for?

I have been using it on both cars for about 3 months now, at slow speeds you'll probably find you have to use your wipers on intermittent.....

Cruising speeds and the stuff is superb!!! Quite bizarre driving in the rain without your wipers on and it takes a bit of getting used to.

It does come off after a while but reapplying its no bigee either....

From your post I presume not.

There is also a topup fluid available from rain-X that you can stick in yer washer bottle to make the stuff you put on your screen last longer

It takes a couple of months before it needs reapplying but that is in my case.... I guess everyone will be different depending on what types of journeys they do....

Lots of Mway driving it will last longer, always stuck in traffic having to use wipers it will be gone a whole lot quicker.

It does come off as you use your wipers more, but invaluable never the less. On the recent Run to the Ridge, my wipers went and the rainX worked a treat.

I may have to get some of this washer bottle stuff.

You'll also find that in the dark you generally don't need wipers at all with rain-x...it is outstanding.

I reapply it about once a month/6 weeks, depending on how much it's been raining. Wiping will remove it eventually but takes a while, don't worry about it, just re-apply in a few weeks.

Makes your wiper blades last longer too!

Did my car at the weekend, mainly to compensate for no rear wiper but I did the whole car anyway. It is really freaky when the rain runs the wrong way up your windscreen! Also did the inside with the anti-fog stuff.

Top stuff

I understand it worked at 220 mph on the Mulsane Straight.

Its bloody good on boats too, yet to try it on a plane.

Works fine on a plane, but is fairly irrelevant as the wind tends to blast the rain off pretty well anyway. Good for helicopters though (where the speeds are less)

I find that the more I use my wipers, the higher the speed climbs before Rain X starts to work. i re-apply once i have to do 70mph, although if the car is left standing in heavy rain the effectiveness seems to improve slightly.

no.

It lasts a few months, should say something on the side of the 'tin' about longevity

Don't use any washer fluid taht isn't the rainX sort. It will ruin your windscreen. My screen is still smudging after 3 months. I daren't put more rainX on in case it makes it worse. If it's put on properly and not harmed by anything then it's great.

Make sure you don't use the outside stuff as anti-fog. I did about ten years ago and you end up with loads of beads of water which don't come off when you wipe with your hand.
