Squeaky/Noisy /Rattle Exige Roof -58 plate

Ive have owned a few exige over the years, but never experienced a roof this noisy, its seems to squeak and rattle all the time. Its already been back to Lotus exeter once, but still no joy, this is totally spoiling the experience beacuse its so intrusive.I understand Lotus have tried silicone lube spray etc, but surely I can't be the only one to suffer. I would really appreciate any advice or comments.

yeah i get it too, just behind the drivers seat, it the metal clamp however still trya find a way to stop it. is yours in the same position

When I first had my S2 Exige it made a terrible noise behind my right ear at speed - turned out to be the side pod vibrating - solved with a bit of super glue and pond liner.

The roof squeeks - much worse if it has been standing in the sun (expansion?) - but generally all the time, though I have improved mine by taking the roof off (about 18 months ago)and applying vaseline to the rubbers.

The hard top on my Elise (2007) used to squeak quite badly. When I put it on at the start of winter last year I made sure I pushed it as far forward as it would go before tightening the clamps. The result was no squeaking this winter. No leaks either.

Try some silicone spray lube. Works wonders on the hard top on my BMW.
