Just seen this - what a pale, pale imitation of the original[s]. Very disappointing.

I haven't seen the origional, only seen a bit of the C4 version. But will watch the episode when Gizzie Erskine is on.

It's a shameful imitation.

If you're going to do a remake / adaptation please make an effort. It's like a worse version of Ready Steady Cook (if that's possible).

I quite agree - it instantly reminded me of ready steady cook too.

I could write a book on why this version is crap, but can't be bothered.

What's the deal with the dark corners on every shot???

Why do the chefs show no imagination? The Lobster episode - lobster tail with thai flavours, lobster tail with Med flavours, lobster tail with pasta.......BORING!

Not really a fan of the original version, bit like as Gordon says Ready Steady T**t on steroids, but the UK version is dire beyond belief.

Have watched some of Food Network Challenge, and some of the constructions are quite different and skilled if not to UK tastes perhaps.
