Bloody hell that's low - hadn't realised they were built in such few numbers.
If you use the 993RS production figures it would be 22% in Clubsport spec. .I reckon 10-20% of 996 GT2 are original Clubsport spec. but havent got any solid data to back it up. Ever wondered why some are advertised as Clubsport but dont have all the right bits or a 003 on the options list.
Anyone know the Clubsport/Comfort split?
When I had mine I was led to believe that only 14 Mk1s were genuine Clubsport.
The GT2 was primarily sold to people buying the top car who wanted comfort spec, whereas far more GT3 buyers new are track-oriented, so GT3s have a far higher percentage of Clubsports.
Many GT2s will be advertised with a cage/harnesses but many of them have been fitted afterwards. Usual giveaway is seats, proper CS has fabric buckets......

That's the same as I was told when I first bought mine back in 2003. I know there were two Speedyellow ones but I understand the other yellow one had a bit of an off a few years ago but think it's still around. The GT2 was primarily sold to people buying the top car who wanted comfort spec, whereas far more GT3 buyers new are track-oriented, so GT3s have a far higher percentage of Clubsports.

I know a few have now gone overseas, a silver one went to Oz that I know of and I think Guy's old car went overseas as well? (or it's hiding very very well!).
