I just bought a new Noble from 1GRacing and should have it within 4 weeks. Anyone in the States had any experience with 1GRacing and have any advice re: taking delivery. I am having the ceramic turbos (I am not well versed in motors yet) and "new rods" among other things added. Seems that the claim is that I will end up with 400HP. Any word on how acurate that may be.
Anyone in the States that has a Noble. I am in the Seattle area.

Thanks,

JP

You should talk to Marc ( not sure where he lives) and Jeff in Florida. Contact them at:-

thanks for the direction. I will try what you have advised. Any idea weather or not I will end up with 400HP? Not sure of all that is being done, but Roush (not sure if that's spelled correct) was just at 1G Racing last week and whatever the "new" stuff is, that is what is going into my car. Wondering if it will actually get to 400HP?

Thanks again.

Jeff,

Trevor from Roush knows what he is doing

I'd suggest you talk to 1G about "absolute" power - but remember power is nothing without "control" Anything over 300 will scare the heebie jeeses out of you!

Jeff,

don't worry about the number. We 'only' get 350 horses over here and it's plenty enough to blow away nearly anything else on the road. Plus it goes round corners!

Jeffro,

It is true, I was over there and I did map those ceramic turbos, but I kept it safe (waranty issues etc) so you've a good 360bhp.

Enjoy

Stormshadow,
Ultima?....ULTIMA?....Lee designed the Ultima YEARS before he designed the M12, and while the GTR is a great car I think you'll find the 3R an infinitley better, more refined car. I've had the pleasure of traveling in both marques, (plus TVR, Porche and Ferrari), and I have ordered a Noble, need I say more? Martin.

Martin - I hadnt done all my research on the history with Lee and the Ultima...I now know how things fell out and how the evolutions of the Ultima and Noble have prgressed. I like the design of the Noble much more, but I am having trouble contacting 1G and being able to find companies which offer powerplants for the Noble over here...since you guys have placed orders, can anyone help me out here? Thanks all, appreciate the info...just as a note, signing up on the Noble owners club site as we speak...

Stormshadow,

For the US, everything starts with 1G. Call them (do not email), and you'll get all your questions answered. You don't have to worry about finding an engine manufacturer or finding a supplier for any of the Noble parts, they have all that information for you.

Good luck!

I'm considering a Noble as well.

I live in the US, and am curious/concerned about all the regulatory issues, as well as wondering how to deal with the fact that I'm going to have to get the entire drive train put in myself.

How do I register the car?

How do I get insurance?

What about emissions, etc.?

The Noble folks at 1G racing are sending me some information. I'm hoping that all this will be answered therein.

I would love to hear from any of you US owners as to your "real life" experiences dealing with these (and other) isses arising from buying a Noble for the US.

Another Noble on the opposite side of the country. Anybody know of any Nobles hanging around the DC area?

I'm in Louisville, Kentucky. I've had the car for quite some time now. However, there have been no engines available(although they are starting to filter in). I'm having modifications done in Indianapolis while we wait. I am planning to us it as a weekend track car with SCCA and NASA.

I've registered several cars in the USA and can give specifics if anyone still needs help although it may be different from State to State.

Scott, So is your car titanium or burgundy? I have been in contact with Greg from Indy that is working on your car. I was just wondering which was yours!

Can you order the Noble chassis from 1G with a fire suppression system and a fuel cell, or are these aftermarket add-ons?

Any mods to the "stock" Noble that you have made to make it a track car?

I'm also looking at a Noble for a track and road race car, and would be interested in your experiences.

Jeremy,
Mine is the burgundy. Just got off the phone with Greg and he says you are about my size. If so, you may want to drive down and look at the seat in my car. It was made for the headroom.
