Cooling fans....

The second one isn't switching on. Any suggestions for a numpty (moi) as to where to start to look?

what temp are you seeing on the dash for your water?

Probably the best thing to do is to swap the fans over to get an idea whether its the fan itself, or the switch / temp sensor. If the fans switches on when you swap them, then I would think the switch is the culprit.

Or it could be a fuse.

The first kicks in at about 92 or so. The temp then climbs to about 98 - 99, sometimes touching 100, but the second fan doesn't kick in. It used to kick in before then - maybe 96 - 98.

The first fan seems to keep the temperature from climbing beyond the 99 but that was with some airflow from motion aswell, so I'm worried about being in stationary traffic.

As a numpty (so apologies for niavity) do you mean swap leads/connectors over?

I think my second fan used to only kick in about 100 but I may be in dream land. I have a omex now and they both kick in at 90 at the same time as it has been programmed that way.

I am pretty sure G Varley will be along soon and tell you when they should kick in. I would not be worried about that temp though.

Have you check your water in your swirl pot as well as the main water filling area?

Ah. The Omex can be programmed to bring them in earlier?

I'm only worried as there has been a change; the second always kicked in before it hit that temp and brought the temp raight down very quickly.

That is what it should be.

Could be faulty relay.

Swap yellow relays over R51 & R23 and see if the fan works then.

Thanks Guys. It seems the fans are both working but the trigger temperature, at least of the second fan, has changed. It kicked in at just over 100.

I'll get them changed when it next goes in.
