Nice picture, but couldn't they find a UK spec XJS full convertible? and what's with the paint job in the XK8?

Apparently the XJS is ex- Lady Di and supplied by Jag UK, they also supplied the rather garish XK8.

That picture just highlights to me how bloated the new XK looks, although to be fair that's partly down to the next newest car (the old XK) being a fair bit further away.

To Austin Powers??

Had a passenger ride in a XK120 a while ago, 60mph has never felt so quick. Admittedly having my knees wedged against the dash and my head clear of the windscreen probably helpedhehe

the good old days....when the front end of a car looked so good, that they wouldn't ruin it by screwing on a retangular plate with writing on it- just slap a sticker on the bonnet that'll do!

Shame - more than a few missing here C-Type, D-Type XK140 and XK150 Series 1, 2 & 3 all fairly Iconic

If you're going to do something.....etc etc....

Still, i wouldn't mind taking home the gorgeous XKSS

To answer a few questions:

No XJ220, C/D-type or XJ6 because we were concentrating on roadgoing open sports cars only this time out - we're planning to get on to saloons and racers later in the year (if you're going to do it properly etc...)

As for XK140/150: we chose the first and purest iteration of each generation of Jag sports car - hence XK120, S1 E and, yes, rather ungainly XJ-SC. Garish paintjob courtesy of Jaguar press office, who in their infinite wisdom decided to repaint one of their fleet cars when it left service as a replica of the Shaguar in Goldmember

And it's 10 pages Garlick, not nine!

Oh god that's just too hard ..... the SS100 or the E-type?

Sorry ..... I just can't choose. Both absolutely iconic.

IIRC they are both Jaguar Heritage Trust cars. I am pretty sure the rest are as well.

Some lovely examples of British automotive history right there.

This is good news for the future of the marque also -
