Hi.

First of all, does anyone know anything about old car stereos? My '77 Stag came with a radiomobile 1070xb in good working order. The only issue is that it doesn't illuminate when switched on, should it? If so how do I change the bulb?

For this next part I have had a quick search and while I am sure this has been covered I couldn't easily find it. I have also looked on flea-bay.

After replacing the radiomobile with a modern alpine unit I have decided I really don't like how it looks. I want to put the radiomobile back, and move the modern head unit to either under the glovebox or inside the glovebox (haven't quite decided yet). What I need is a bracket to allow the head unit to be mounted under something I guess with bolts going through the underside of the glove box or whatever...just a U shaped piece of metal really. Anyone know of any suppliers?

Thanks in advance.

Don't worry, I think I've got a solution...

I've bought this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xRktuka02C8
which is a radiomobile 1070 which someone has modified to accept a 3.5mm jack.

However if someone does want an underdash mount kit they can get the here:

and you would also need one of these:

Or maybe one of these;

I got one from Moss but I see they no longer stock them... Can't comment on the sound quality yet as I'm too lazy to have fitted the thing yet!
