Hi all
can anyone throw a little light on this problem? All of a sudden my remote locking does not work on my boxster, never had any problems with it before & was all fine yesterday. The remote will open the bonnett & boot but will not open the doors i'm presuming the battery in the remote is okay as if it was'nt it wouldnt open the bonnet or boot. Not electrically mimded so has anyone any ideas????
Cheers Mike

Hi Mike
the remote on the key fob flashes when the bonnet & boot are opened, but not when the button to open the doors is pressed, I have 2 keys both with the same problem. The alarm still works fine.

Hi Mike
thanks for your reply.I'm near Wolverhampton. I thought it may be the key head but so strange that they have both gone the same way, the spare 1 was like it when I bought the car now 14 months later the other one has gone exactly the same. can you suggest anything maybe I could do? The car has only done 24,900 miles from new so as you can imagine both remotes look as good as new not worn out where you would imagine to have problems.

Hi Just to let you know you were correct I have taken both keys apart the contacts for the boot & bonnett are solderd in place in both key fobs the door button contacts are loose they just fell out as I opened it up. Can these be repaired do you know it looks very intricate & I know new ones are approx £200.00 from what I have read.
Thanks again
