Anyone know if the lifter mechanism (the cable and pipe/track bit) is off a donor car and, if so, what? Need a passenger side one - motor and motor-gearbox ok but cable worn so not engaging the integral driven gear...

Hi Pupp,
I believe the motor was a bosch unit, but modified to work with the bespoke winding gear.
Fleabay have both LH and RH on now http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TVR-CHIMAERA-GRIFFITH-WINDOW...
Hope it helps
Peter.

Thanks Peter, the motor is a Bosch unit and the actual winding gubbins is certainly crap enough to be a TVR concoction... had spotted the Ebay ones and might go down that route but would prefer to source a new one if poss given the ball ache it is to get the thing in and out. Thanks for the response smile

Try these people. Used them to check the power of mine against a set of new motors. Very helpful. They supplied to the factory.
