Video: Audi Quattro Concept

'Want' redefined for 2010? Audi's Paris show-stopper on film

quattro: What we'd really like to be telling you about is a three hour documentary exploring the 30 year history that lies behind the name, the design process involved in creating this stunning reinterpretation launched at the Paris motorshow on Friday, and most importantly how much it's going to cost to get your name on a waiting list.

Instead all we can offer is 50secs of drooling courtesy of YouTube.

However as PH reporter Riggers managed to succesfully invade the concept car designer's personal space at a Paris motor show press dinner last week, hopefully more insights will follow when our man gets back from the Nurburgring.

(Yes, Riggers really does have that much fun. Sickening, isn't it...)

I think its a good looking car, some complain about the front and others about the rear...hm, so I guess its oke biggrin
I like it the way it looks different then main-stream audi's, more muscular/special but still audi.

If I wanted that front end, I'd buy a real GT-R

That wasn't a concept, it was a model in the Audi restaurant upstairs.

Not much of an Audi fan, but that looks fantastic! Rear reminds me of a Honda CRX

Very nice, looks to me like they got the new sirocco and beefed it up for the boys. Didnt this happen in the late 70/ early 80's too?

Looks great.

Isn't there a hint of Corrado in that rear 3/4s view?

Looks like a bitza car to me. Bits of Skyline, bits of A3, bits of Veyron and no real identity of its own.

I'll have the new Stratos thanks. wink

Isn't doing anything for me I'm afraid - looks like a 'Compact' A5 - or one which has been reversed into a wall perhaps...

I really like it. I think they'll make it but I bet it will set you back a good £50k.

This is a much better way for a car company to play on it's past heritage.

Take a few styling cues from the original (in this case ur quattro) and wrap them into a handsome cutting edge design. This is (for me at least) much more preferable than regurgitating a design of yesteryear such as Mini, VW Beetle etc.
