Hi, was wondering if anyone could help. I have a 2005 Audi a4 tdi and when I change to reverse gear there is a loud beep for a second or two then goes off. Are the parking sensors knackered or could it be a loose wire etc. They don't alert me when I'm reversing too close to something anymore.

Just had the exact same problem with my A4 Cab and unfortunately it was the sensors. Had the replaced with original Audi parts but sprayed and fitted by an independent garage - 325 quid all in from memory.

Yeah I thought it would expensive for new sensors but hoping it's not that.
Going to check connections later to see.

Is there anyway I can disconnect them if they are knackered as it's so annoying everytime I use reverse.

It'll be a duff sensor, think they're about 80 quid but obviously plus paint and time to remove/refit the bumper.

I have the same problem with my s4 cab
Is there any way of checking connections without removing the bumper?
Bearing in mind that I am not very "hands on"

I'm in exactly the same position. Looked on various websites and they are saying could be loose or faulty connection or maybe water has got in to them. Any advice on checking them?
