can you lock passenger door with the key?

Does it unlock with the c/l?

It locks and unlocks with the key, but once locked the central locking doesn't unlock it if that makes sense!??

Can I put my money on a knackered solenoid?

take the door card off, have a look operate the central locking - you'll find something is sticking somewhere.

lube it up or replace it.

Definately a solenoid, it'll probably say unserviceable part on it but don't let it stop you! Like Tom said, lube that bh up!

Mine is a 2004 aswell and it also sometimes has probs with cl and doesn't lock the boot. Goes through a week at a time of not working. Probs should get it looked at with a 15inch sub in the boot.

Hi I had similar problem with my 54 plate clio but it was the drivers door that wouldn't lock & you don't have the option to lock with a key as the only key lock is on the passenger side so I have had the car unlocked for over two weeks now. Spoke to a dealer who said the part I needed would cost £90. took off door trim today and disconnected the eletric wire connector reconnected all working fine now
