Hi there
Here's a couple of pictures of the wiring under the passenger foot well apart from the Battery and the ECU. Anyone like to tell me what they all do? Esp the single resistor!
Cheers

Its all the Lucas EFI stuff ~ same on all the Landrovers (just mounted under carpets where it gets even wetter when the bodies rot hehe)

The two silver relays are the fuel pump relays, the single resistor is the tune resistor - i.e. the bit that tells the ECU that it's a Chim 500 rather than a 400 or a Land Rover.

Although TVR wiring is usually a bit of a rats nest of wires the two fuse carriers that are not part of the factory fuse block would tend to suggest after market add ons.

Does it have a plumbed in battery conitioner? I came across a similar thing today on an Accummate. How about after market radios and CD changers etc.

HI Scruggs
it has a cd changer (dont use the cd/radio as i cant hear the bloomin' thing over the exhaust!). There is a COBRA Alarm sticker but i have no alarm bleeper and the immobiliser is not working properly. Can't see any charger but in truth i'm not sure what i'm looking for.
Looks like i need to get a TVR electrics person to look it over and sort my immob/alarm etc. NO doubt they will tell what's there and what's not etc

One of the fuses is for the fuel pump relay, the other one is probably for the other relay which is for the ecu.

I can never get my head around why TVR would put such fuses on the end of a wire rather than on the main block. Both components are are mandatory for all vehicles and should be part of the permanent fit.

Guess one answer would be to pull the fuse and see what stops working!

Yes i might try that once i've jump started the car! The battery went flat due to the immobiliser not working properly and leaving the right side indicators steady on instead of flashing!

Its because the ECU wiring loom comes in one piece from Lucas, (including the fuses) and is not of TVR doing.

No chance John, I like it when they pull a fuse and the pump doesn't prime so they deduce that was the fuel fuse hehe

The fuel relay is the one with the blue holder IIRC, and the higher rated fuse is for fuel, the others are the main ecu fuse & relay - easy way to remember if you are not familiar with the wire colours going around.
