As per the thread title, I was looking at some over the weekend, and as I can't justify the cost to myself of a Breitling (one day), I liked the look of these, so I thought I'd throw myself to the PH massive.

From the lack of response, I take it they're no good, then.

My sister wanted to get my brother in law "a really nice watch" for his 25th this year, so took me out watch shopping. We went to every high street and independent in town, and eventually settled on the first place we went to - H Samuel - who had a new display of Bulovas.

It's appears to be a very nicely made piece of kit. It's a good quality quartz movement in a strong, solid case, scratch proof coating on the glass, very nice pliable strap.
He's not had it long enough to comment on wear and tear, but I think as a sub-£150 prospect, it was a good buy.

Can't really help much, other than to say that I like them.

They do an 'open heart' type one which I would like to add to the collection.

Thing is, for similar money I could get a Monster and that's far more preferable to me.

Is it a rebirth of the original brand? Or have they always been ticking along ('scuse the pun)?

I have a Bulova which I bought in the States and for what I paid it is a fantastic watch. Very well put together, display back and open heart on the face. The crystal is slightly domed which I like. It is a Miyota movement although I believe some older Bulova's come with certain Swiss Movements.

This is the one I have and it has been getting the most wrist time of late.

I presume it's a rebirth - I couldn't find any reference to the originals or tuning fork movements in any of the literature that came with it.
