Something just came up at another site that could affect somewhere I take my lad to for trials practice. Another Rider was practicing with the full permission of the land owner. He has had that permission for a long time and has had no trouble. There is a Right of way across it for walkers(yep those troublemakers). A BiB informed him that he needed insurance and if there had been people about He would have arrested him. Nobodies quite sure on this. Would He need some kind of insurance?

If it was private land then i really dont see a problem if there is permission from the landowner.

Its not a road or part of a road so therefore not covered by the RTA '88.

Dont know whethwer or not you would need some sort of public liability Ins or not tho

Cheers Tony, thought He might have been a little presumptious. As far as I am Aware PLI is only required if the Landowner charges for the use of the land which is the same as any other event.
