Toyota CD Player Error 1 ----- Help Please.

Hi Guys,

Quick question posting on behalf of a friend, its a 2004 Toyota Avensis with Sat Nav ect...

When you insert a CD, it tries to read it but after a few seconds 'Error 1' comes up on the screen, the radio, Sat Nav and Tape Deck all work perfect.

Does anybody know what is causing this and how to fix it?
Iv tried a quick Google, but it wasn't much help.

I think the file format may not be readable. Is it a burnt CD from a PC?

Nope, normal off the shelf CD.

Have tried a few and none work.
