1994 Range Rover Classic Vogue SE V8 "Soft Dash" Brooklands
Discussion
Hi Guys
I am just back from collecting my new steed, a 1994 Range Rover Classic Vogue SE 3.9 V8 "Soft Dash" in Beluga Black with Brooklands bumpers and wheels.
I have wanted one in this exact spec and colour since they were new, and I am so so pleased I have finally got one!
Overall the car is in good shape, and was previously owned by the owner of a "detailing" company, so the paintwork is lush.
There isn't too much to do. First job is to remove the V8 badges and reinstate the original orange side repeaters. I wasn't too sure about the privacy glass, but it looks OK in the flesh.
I will let you know how I get on (Oh, and it sounds amazing!)

Great old barge, I remember my two of that generation with great fondness (not the running costs though).
She looks in great nick, I had mine before the 3.9 engine was available, but seem to remember the increased capacity made for a much better drive.
LPG may be your next port of call unless you're an Arab prince?

That looks lovely - very classy. These are timeless.
Might be a silly question, but what sort of mpg can one expect tootling about on country roads? I'm thinking mid to low teens, would I be in the right ball park?
I get 15mpg from my 3.9 V8 hard dash, but I've got a fairly heavy right foot (to enjoy the v8 noise) and I use it for commuting. High teens is possible I guess but would be pretty dull. I tell myself that the extra cost of petrol is outweighed by the lack of depreciation.Might be a silly question, but what sort of mpg can one expect tootling about on country roads? Absolutely amazing vehicles though. Total all rounder. Perfect in town, wafting, load lugging or having fun burbling around. I bought mine as a winter hack (was amazing in the snow) and promised the missus I'd sell it again in spring but it'll be a wrench. Even if I do sell, I suspect I'll get another one in November since Scotland seems to be entering a new ice age.
