Cutting down my alcohol consumption seriously, what is best to ask for in terms of healthy soft drinks? Diet Coke is horrid, Pepsi Max is ok, what about Orange juice, or lemonade?

Soda water with a dash of lime or failing that maybe a tomato juice with a dash of tabasco and worcester sauce.

I will always a pint of Henry which is orange juice and lemonade, bit of ice and doesn't cost the earth like the equivalent pint of orange juice would.

If it matters, pint of orange juice has more calories than pint of beer.

I know you are looking to reduce alcohol intake, but you may also be happy to keep calorie intake under control.

Lime cordial and soda over ice does it for me, though I don't mind diet Coke.

Can't believe nobody has stated the obvious: Water biggrin Seriously - it's as healthy as can be, and free! (pretty boring though).

grapefruit juice & soda with a little ice. Not sweet & doesn't bloat me out like J20 or similar. Lime & soda is good or even straight tonic.

Years ago in a posh pub in Fulham the guy in front of me ordered a Soda and lime. The barmaid brought him the drink and said that will be £1.50 yikes

He said no fekin' way and slapped down 30p on the bar and walked off with the drink. She just shrugged and asked me what I wanted.

"I'll have 4 of what he had" I replied.

Ha! Amongst the PH staffers, I have a reputation of enjoying FAR to many soft drinks on a Friday night- God knows I need a good drink on a Friday, but training on a Saturday just doesnt allow it! (I does thats there Marrrtialarts)

Too many soft drinks do tend to get a bit sickly though- so I tend to have a can of sugar free red bull, and then tend to just sip on water, or orange juice for the evening. I find the actual range of soft drinks available quite limiting, but to be honest, its a pub, and i've chosen to not drink!

Since a Creme de Menthe and Lucozade is out the window might I suggest Pepsi Max. Seems to taste much better than its Coke equivalent and is what I stick too on those rare occasions I have to stay off the beer...

Cranberry and lemonade - cold, fizzy, not too sweet. Half and half juice and water on ice is also good - don't drink neat juice too often, the fruit acids are terrible for teeth.

Good shout, I prefer diet versions of most soft drinks, I cant stand the 'furry' feeling of the sugar on my teeth.

Diet ginger beer, hmm will have to try that one smile
