What colour is this 912?
Discussion
Am planning on getting a 912 in the next year or so.
Saw this one at the Silverstone Classic a couple of years back and thought the colour was gorgeous.
Anyone know what it's called?
Had a look at Porsche paint number / codes for 1968-69, think it could be one of these.
Light Ivory 6804 131
Medium Ivory 6821 - 132
White (Light) Grey 6832 - 620
Cloudy Grey 6833 - 621

Loads of 912's seem to have been imported from California.
Think we can safely say DVLA have listed wrong with the colour!
I'd love a 6 pot Porsche, but cars of that era are well out of my budget!
When I started thinking about a 912 in 1995, you could pick one up for about £6K. Prices have nearly doubled since then!
Someone else has suggested the colour might be
Porsche Beige Grey - 70192

Wow, great work. Thanks Bert. Can't believe you've found the exact car (and it was based in Leamington, right next to where I grew up!)Here's the details from a prev owner...

Absolutely wonderful 912. Such a huge amount of work has gone into preparing that car. Getting it into the MIRA wind tunnel must have cost a fortune!
Now just need to find one a little closer to my budget. If beige grey was a special order colour in 1968, there can't be many about!
