Thank you JZM - Pirelli Corsa for 997 GT3

Picked up a nail in my front left Pirelli Corsa. Called my local OPC to get a quote for replacing the tyre. I bought my 997 GT3 Gen 2 new from them in April 2010.

OPC: "Sir what is the N rating on your tyres?"
Me: "N zero"
OPC: "I am afraid I have bad news sir. Pirelli no longer makes this tyre. You have to switch to N1 or N2 rating. Price is OPCPRICE per tyre. And you will have to change all 4 tyres"
Me: "Thank you, let me think about it..."

I call JZM:

JZM: "Pirelli still makes N-zero rated Corsas. But sourcing Pirelli Corsas is difficult at the moment. We will try to find an N-zero rated tyre. If we can't find N-zero, you may need to use Pirelli Corsa N1 or N2. In that case we would advise you to change the two front tyres. No it's not necessary to change all 4 tyres"

Next day:

JZM: "We found an N-zero rated tyre. Price is FAIRPRICE. You only need to change the one damaged tyre"

And for those who like math: OPCPRICE = FAIRPRICE + approx. 100 GBP

Then we are wondering why most OPCs have a bad reputation...
