Video: Ferrari P4/5C On Track At Vallelunga

Testing winds up a gear for Mr Glickenhaus and his Ferrari P4/5 Competizione

Over the past few months we've been following the progress of Jim Glickenhaus and his N Technologies-developed P4/5 Competizione with a mixture of admiration, respect, envy, and increasing amounts of dribble.

And now Jim and N Technologies are at it again, getting us in a bit of a lather with some proper on-track video at the Vallelunga circuit in Italy.

The on-board video also shows a rather less foggy (and faster) test session than the last time we covered the P4/5C - at the Franciacorta circuit in Lombardy. Very pleasant. We can't wait to see the P4/5C take on the likes of Audi, BMW, Porsche and Mercedes at this year's Nurburgring 24hrs.

Wow but one thing i noticed i hope it does rain at the Nurburgring 24 hrs as the windscreen wiper doesn't seem to be touching the windscreen at high speed.

Certainly sounds good! I guess they'll sort the wiper out at some point!

Hey

The Wiper is being sorted. We're also working on more lighting and the front suspention to get more front grip. The rear grip is amazing and so high that we don't need TC.

A bit like that Mark Knoffler song:

This is a very impressive race car! It looks the part and is a true successor of the P3. One could not have done better, imo. Congratulations to this great project.

I love the sound of the car. The noise has much more depth than the cup-Ferraris, it sounds like a true Le Mans racer. And the exhaust over-run is terrific.

This car will be a sensation at the Nürburgring. I truely hope that P 4/5 is relaible enough to finish the race with a very good result.

I wish we could see the car at other races at a later stage, perhaps. SPA-Francochamps or Le Mans would be terrific.

I am looking forward to Nürburgring for now!

THE VERY VERY BEST OF LUCK !

Actually, with the right treatment, the screen won't need a wiper.
Till real sh!t gets on it.
I've said it before, ... this is just a fabulous story; Jim's is some kind of journey ...

I have to doff my cap to Mr Glickenhaus and co, a true petrol heads and spendthrifts inspiration!!

The look, sound and finish appear 1st class, look forward to seeing it in the flesh, maybe up the hill at Goodwood?

Hold the front page!!!

While searching for something else I've just discovered that Napolis bought one of my favourite vehicles last year, Steve McQueen's 'Baja Boot'. As much as I love what you're doing with the Ferrari, I'm even more interested in this.

What can you tell us about it, although it could do with its own thread really...
