Pic Of The Week: Jaguar XKR-S

Brighten up your desktop with this true-blue British beauty

Were it not for the fact that last week's POTW featured the techy internals of the new Pagani Hoo-ray-henry, we might have offered you Lamborghini's rolling chassis image as our PH-branded screen candy this week.

But then again we might not have, because there's no doubting the dishy deliciousness of this shot showcasing Jaguar's (imminent) Geneva show star. And being the Patriotic tub thumpers that we are here at PH (it's a little known fact that Garlick rarely leaves the house without Union Flag underduds), it just wouldn't have seemed right to have overlooked the fabulous XKR-S.

So here it is.

Normal (1280x1024)
WideScreen (1440x900)
SuperSize (2048x1536)

That is a good looking car. Are the new headlights making it to th erest of the range? It's always been the biggest issue I've had with the car to date (ditto the XF).

Yea, the front end of the XK/XF do rather let it down. This new one looks much better, although this colour doesn't do it for me at all

Well, I would be mad on the colour only but I do not like all these fuzzy detailing bits and holes. Keep it simple. This makes it beautiful.

No 'Halford's' gimmicks on Jags, please. No car needs it but especially NO JAGS.

Better some bright colours only.

This is starting to look like a trick kit car.. There are too many "air" bits hung on. Especially the Halfords special effects rear tail upper wing(yours for 49.99..honest... guv)

I think and believe that one of the defining design features of Jaguar has always been the way of smooth! This has got a little rough

Point made about 5 times so will shut up

Porsche brings out a 911 GT3 with vents, massive spoilers and all manor of tacked on gubbins but when Jag toughen up the XKR to create the XK R-S people moan. I expect the standard XKR will come without the kit but this is meant to be a hardcore version...

I love it.

DO NOT WANT.

I'm sure it's very capable, but it looks a bit too "Stephen Ireland" for my liking.

According to their website, Jaguar are touting the XKR-S as the "fastest and most powerful production sports car Jaguar has ever built". Faster than the XJ220 then? Should be interesting......

Really nice looking car!

They'll claim it's capable then restrict it to 155mph is my guess.
