Tigers are generally a fair bit bigger IIRC.

Sad story really. Not that I know anything, but it seems rather stupid to have had two such 'dominant' cats in adjacent cages.

A bigger question is:

Who would win in posting this story first? (Hint: Not you)

The winner

Saw a video of a tiger vs a crocodile on the banks of a river a few years back. Surprisingly enough the tiger killed the crocodile (tiger was too fast for the crocodile to grab).

Now tiger vs a honey badger - that is a fight I'd pay to see, though I pity the poor tiger.

Christ don't mess with tigers. Seems not to be an isolated incident a few different tigers taking on crocs in this.
first one on land its like something out of durasic park. Towards the end a tiger is taking on a croc ion the water !

WARNING a bit grisley

And of course don;t forget this classic tiger attacks men on elephant!

Again a bit grisley

No not quite, the Bengal and the Amur(Siberian) Tigers are bigger than Lions, but not by much.

But the Bengal and the Amur are just two of the 6 extant subspecies of Tiger with the other 4 being smaller than Lions, in fact the Sumatran tiger is not much bigger than a Leopard.

So 'Generally' Lions are bigger if you see what I mean!

Do you mean in Zoo's or in the Wild??

The Asiatic Lion 'Panthera leo Persica' is now only found in the wild in the Gir forest in India, tiger country, if the damn poachers didn't kill them all!

As for the clip I can only guess what it shows as I'm not going to watch it.

I think 50 kilos is not 'not much'biggrin, I would say generally Tigers are still bigger since you go off the biggest of the species.

That Liger is fantasticbiggrin

If it's which is Bigger a Tiger or A Lion then yes there are bigger Tigers than Lions I wouldn't disagree.

But 'Generally' implies across the whole in which case if you averaged out the size of all 6 extant Tigers subspecies and compared to the 2 extant Lions subspecies the Lions are 'Generally' bigger.

It's pedantic point I'll grant you.

Do you watch QI? In one episode they discussed when sad fks actually did put bears up against catsmad. It was a Brown bear versus a Lion, the bear won every time because the Lions skull was too thin, and the bear possesed too much power.
