Cerbie with no engine on ebay

I've been saving for a cerbie for 5 years and I've finally got the money, thanks to a slight remortgage (the wife thinks its slight anyway). I'm moving up from a 280i wedge so you can imagine my excitement!!
Anyway I've seen a P reg 4.2 on ebay with a knackered engine, something about the crank needing regrinding. I need a bit of advice as to wether it's worth getting or not. I've a budget of 18K so does anybody know how much an engine rebuild will cost from TVR, just so I know how much to go up to for this car. Thanks.

just a crank regrind ?
well if it was just that, then i;m sure it would of been done IMO
