Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta any good????????
Discussion
Evening all, Today I have had a letter from my insurance company stating its ok to swap my runflats for normal tyres.(best to be on the safe side)
So I will be needing some new tyres for the Z4 soon, been looking on the net for what tyres to get next.
Rear 255/35/18
Front 225/40/18
I have always been a fan of bridgestone potenza tyres but someone recomended
Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta (the tread patern is almost sexual)
So if you have used these tyres are they any good? or should i stick with potenza's.
Cheers.

They're good - grippy in the dry, excellent in the wet but they don't last long. Personally I'd go with the Hankook V12 EVO which has really impressed me lately.
Cheers, how long would you say they last, what sort of mileage? I get approx 8000 miles on potenza's. I would be happy if they do 8000 miles.Never had the chance to run a set myself but consensus of internet opinions seems to be that they're actually very, very good for the majority of driving. They are softer then some other tyres, but that's one of the reasons they grip so well.
If you want to track the Z4 find a second set of wheels and some part worn tyres, the vreds will end up in shreds fairly quickly I would think.

I'd expect 10k out of the Vreds and 14k out of the Hankooks. To get either under 8k I think you'd have to be trying.

Got my last 4 from him, cheaper than Camskill.
If you're local they fit too. (West Yorks)

I've not used them personally, but they get a good reputation around the Volvo T5 community.
Has anyone got first hand experience of them on a T5? I need new summer tyres on mine and the Vreds look very nice and have got quite good reviews, but as anyone with a T5 knows, they eat front tyres for breakfast.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
