As a thank you to Pistonheads, for some backroom help recently, for being there, here's my personal review of the Saab 9-3 Aero, prepared after 6 weeks of ownership.

Enjoy, and thank you!

That`s excellent! - I`m a 9000 Griffin owner & would be interested to know if there is anything you miss about your old 9000 when driving the Aero?

I've owned 3 9000's since 1998, and, TBH, not really, except the extra large load space, as you never know when you need it.

Excellent, so a few questions.

What is the bhp output for each engine, I have 210 bhp so I'm guessing that's the Lpt ?

Where is the best place to buy the front lip spoiler for the Aero, our local Saab dealer went bust two months ago so that's a non starter, I'm guessing you guys all know of parts outlets other than main dealers and know lots of independent garages.

Thanks in advance

The 210 version is the HOT version; LPT have about 175 IIRC. Elkparts.co.uk is a good place for Saab aftermarket & OEM parts, but a bit pricey on a few things. There is another site but I can't think of it at the moment, will post it if I remember!

There is also a V6 option, in the later incarnations, which develops around 280bhp. I was tempted, but decided to stick to the four pot. Partsforsaabs is also another big time player, but you will find many independents and other concerns supply OEM parts at very competitive prices

And the V6 is an LPT.

Front lip/spiler £ 113.00 don't know if thats good or not, seemed fair to me? I found cheaper but they were not primed and I don't think that they were oem
