when i was sixteen my Garelli Rekord gave me my first taste of freedom and independence,
even though it was the most unreliable moped in our little group of lads.
Maybe i should not of bought the 10 speed Carlton the year before, and put that money towards a decent FS1E.
Are there any sport mopeds (with the pedals) still going, lets see some photos of them, any thing like, Yamaha FS1E, Suzuki AP, Garelli Tiger cross / Rekord, Gilera trials, Puch Grand Prix, KTM Comet X, I would of loved to have owned a Malaguti Super cross or Monte, my least favourite would of been the Honda ss 50.

Glad you like the Puch smile Have a look at www.sportsmoped.com

Some real 'enthusiasts' on that forum and plenty of pictures and restorations to read through

My old man has just had a full restoration finished on his FS1E. The thing is absolutely a thing of beauty - better than new I recon.

Must get some pics when I next head over there.

We appeared to get a few Monte's. The originals were like yours and then they seemed to get Metal mudguards and be more "traily" and the Cavalcone became the "Enduro" version. I did get a Monte with the intention of doing it up but couldn't get the parts. Sold it to a guy who broke it to complete his and add it to his Sports Moped collection.
