I can't seem to find one googling through t'internet or searching in 306 GTi-6 forums.

Short of buying a haynes manual can anyone link me to the guide changing the Aux/Alternator belt on a 306 GTI-6/S16?

I know its not rocket science and should be easy enough but French Bred is not what I usually dabble in so I want to make sure I know any idisynchracies or have any special tools requred before I dive in (like the stupid odd size Torx drive I needed to do the Aux belt tensioner on my 406 DT)

Very very easy, undo tensioner, loosen belt. replace with new belt, tighten up. No idiosink ideosync stuff to worry about at all.

might be a guide on 306gti6.com, but it's a bit basic even for them!

There are two setups. You should have an auto tensioner which needs releasing using a 3/8 extension bar. You should be able to see the hole in it with the wheel off. Push it in so that the end is flush with the back of the tensioner then lever back to release then stick an allen key in the smaller hole to keep it released. Push it too far and you'll snap the tensioner in half and they're expensive.

Fit the belt, remove the allen key and lever back into place and it should tension itself back up.
