Hennessey Drops ZR1 Motor Into Camaro

Supercharged Camaro chucks out 755hp

Texan tuner Hennessey Performance Engineering has begun production of its most extreme version of the Camaro yet, the HPE700.

Going one step beyond the bolt-on supercharger kit for the HPE550, Hennessey has dropped a massaged version of the supercharged LS9 V8 from the Corvette ZR1 into the Camaro to create the HPE700, a 755hp monster.

For confirmation of the serious power output of this nutty Camaro, check out the dyno video below (but don't have your volume up too high if you value your ears).

Hennessey plans to build just 24 HPE700s for the 2010 model year, and one can be yours (apart from the 13 already on order) for $119,500 (£73k), plus the small matter of shipping.

The HPE700 will be unveiled to the public at the SEMA show in Las Vegas this November.
