Well, we've certainly neglected our Lotus news of late and working back through our notes we found the links to the pictures of this meeting in mid August.
Over 300 people and 120 Lotuses from all over the USA showed up in Grand Island New York for the event which was organized and run by the Lotus Owners of New York (LOONY). The LOG was the 23rd annual Gathering of the USA Lotus faithful sponsored by the USA'a largest Lotus Car club, Lotus Ltd.
The event included the usual multi-day car washes, technical sessions, a concours event, auto jumble, autocross and rally. A banquet dinner Saturday night featured some speakers from Lotus Cars and of course plenty of discussion about the 2004 Elise.
Awards and prizes abound and almost everyone took home something. Dunlop sponsored the concours and Goodyear sponsored the autocross. Bridgestone also donated prizes. In a pleasant twist of fate, the owner who drove the longest distance to get there, 5000 miles(!), won a set of Dunlops.
