Bought for £20,000 in February 2012 at 56,000 miles. 40th birthday present (to myself) - always fancied one since I drove one around Bedford Autodrome on a Porsche track day. Bought from Lewis James Huddersfield (seem to be top guys)... will it be ruinously expensive? Will the warranty pay out if anything big goes bang? What MPG will I actually get?
450bhp 4x4 here goes... Update: I seem to be getting 17 mpg on mixed driving and putting my foot down occ. This car is amazing. Love it. Tyre pressure monitoring system is a bit sporadic - so I've turned it off. Just had first service at Neil Garner / Kemble. Not required until next year, but I don't go in for two year service intervals. All good so far. Just ordered some Pirelli Scorpion Snow & Ice tyres for some 19inch wheels I bought off eBay. Bring on the winter... First 3,500 Miles = 17 mpg. First 5,000 Miles = 17.2 mpg - still very, very happy Now 8,000 Miles = 17.0 mpg, seems to have averaged out All I'm saying is that I paid for the aluminium coolant pipe upgrade when I bought the car at Lewis James in Huddersfield. Just had to have the whole thing redone at Porsche Swindon (£1,300) after coolant leak left me stranded by the side of the M40. Also got MOT done whilst it was in Porsche Swindon. Bit early, but passed without advisories so that's good. |
