We don’t normally wax lyrical about new F1 cars here at PH (perhaps we should?) but the new Ferrari definitely warrants a mention.
Firstly it is the F60 – as in Ferrari is 60 years old – and secondly we have a helmet cam video of the new car testing. As F1 cars go the F60 is a bit of a looker, despite the tiny new-regulation rear wing.
The car has been launched before the other teams’ efforts and has already been thrashed around the Mugello circuit near Florence, Italy.
Team boss Stefano Domenicali said: ‘We wanted to celebrate the fact that Ferrari is the only team to have always been in the World Championships. The history of Formula One is twinned with the history of Ferrari. For us F1 is our life -- our aim is to stay at the top.’
We particularly like the fact the steering wheel is not so much a wheel, more a rotating dashboard…
