Raven Automotive are looking for a buyer for their Honda S2000, or perhaps
they're not!
The Honda S2000 was developed by them for use as a GT car, aimed at the
2-litre sub-division of the GTO class of the British GT Championships (Powertour).
It's currently finished in white, ready to be re-painted in the colours of a
sponsor, or ready to have other graphics added.
The
car was prepared from a bare shell, stripped of unnecessary components and given
an integral rollcage in T45 alloy steel, an aluminium hardtop, and lightened
doors,bonnet and bootlid.
Mechanically it's an exciting little car - the gearbox is a Honda 6 speed
developed specifically for the car; an ideal partner for the ultimate
production-based engine: one of the most technically-advanced ever fitted to a
production car. The VTEC unit is extraordinarily light, produces well in excess
of 125bhp per litre, and has rev' potential over 10,000 rpm.
Raven don't really want to part with the car as they want to see it race.
They're quoting £58,300 plus VAT to have the car ready for you to race in a
series of your choice this year. Alternatively they could be persuaded to part
with it if you talk to them nicely.
It would be quite a head turner, both performance wise and given the fact
that there are currently no S2000's competing in high profile series in the
UK...
