Er, I'm only 14 and so I can't drive!
Same goes as above but only a few years now and I should have something to write in this section.
"Lots of cars would have made it here, perhaps if it was the £1,000,000 Garage I would be able to include them all! A few that I really considered were the Alfa Romeo 4C, Aston Martin DB9 and the Maserati GranCabrio."
Audi RS6 Avant
"I've always loved Audi estates and the RS6 is the ultimate, a comfy mile muncher with 580hp and room for the whole family including the dog. When I think of an RS6 I have a wonderful image of one pulling up at the lights next to something flashy like a Ferrari F430 and leaving it for dust! This car should be just as good at stopping as accelerating because it has the optional carbon ceramic brakes. That only leaves cornering, and the Quattro all-wheel drive should have that covered. I would prefer it if the car had original silver wheels and the stock exhaust to keep up that classic 'sleeper' look (I'll keep the dyno tune) but you can't have everything. The plates are a nice touch too, I think."
BMW M3 CSL
"I've always had a soft spot for BMW M cars and they don't get much better than the hardcore CSL. A normal M3 would have easily made the list but I wanted something a bit special .This car is just the ticket; lighter, quicker and in my opinion even better looking than the standard car. The bigger 19-inch wheels and the rounded boot lid just make you smile. Combine the looks with the gorgeous howl of a BMW straight-six and you can't go wrong. A proper weekend car that can be enjoyed to the max. Plus when you consider how rare these are (only 224 registered in the UK) it should be a surefire investment for the future . The car I have chosen here would be the exact one I would buy (if I had the money and a driving licence): black with black interior. Nice."
Ford Fiesta 1.25
"The little Fiesta might look a bit odd on the list compared to the vast array of sports cars but it's not a mistake! This is probably the only car on this list that I am ever likely to own and something like this is probably going to be my first car. May as well include it now! I picked a Fiesta rather than a Corsa or Clio because it should be the best car to drive, without getting a hot model that would jack up the insurance price. It's being added added to the garage as it will be the car to use in town and tight multistorey car parks while I am getting used to driving. It doesn't matter if it gets dinged up, After all it was only £800."
[We've had to up the budget significantly and source a replacement for Ned's original choice. An £800 Fiesta has been replace by an £895 Fiesta...]
Porsche Cayman 2.7
"Some of you may have noticed that the Alfa Romeo 4C made it to the shortlist but they are still too expensive for a £100K Garage. Instead I chose a cheaper mid-engined alternative in the Cayman. Although the Cayman was a compromise here it should be no compromise to drive. Porsche's 2.7-litre flat-six isn't the fastest engine around but the mid-engined layout and on-point handling should more than make up for it. This exact Cayman I have chosen isn't the sportiest looking car out there but that doesn't matter though because I can't see it from behind the wheel, sitting in the sumptuous tan leather seats. This is the car I would use in the evenings, hammering it down a sleepy Sussex B-road, using the last of the summer sun. Bliss."
[We've had to substitute Ned's original choice because it had sold. No tan leather seats here but the same spec and price].
Mercedes CLK55 AMG
"A couple of years ago a friend took me out for a blast through the A27 tunnels in an SLS Roadster; since then I have had a yearning to experience an AMG again! Even with £100K I couldn't afford an SLS. So instead I decided to opt for the AMG feeling on a budget... Along with the sound and power I wanted a convertible as summer's coming up and I can't think of a better way to experience a few days of sun than being out in this. The car appealed to me because the black with black colour combo oozes class and luxury. This is my dream car for the summer, if not in the UK then I would take it down to the south of France and enjoy the sun there."
Alfa Romeo Giulietta Cloverleaf
-£170. Just over £100K but close enough [that's what you think Ned. We'll be calling your parents for that].
"Both the 4C and the Maserati made the shortlist so its only right that some Italian flair, style and sophistication made it in the garage. It may not be the obvious choice but the Italian charm and the practicality of a five-door hatch means that it just had to have a space. This may not be the exact model I would have chosen but it's the best the remainder of the budget would allow. That said the metallic Alfa red exterior and the black leather with red stitching mean that it still looks great. The 1.75-litre turbo engine appears to be quick enough too. The blurred pictures in the ad don't do it justice, its a true thing of beauty and a great car to complete the garage."
