RUB DODO JUICE ON YOUR BONNET

A new carnauba car wax is launching with a promise to offer consumers superwax performance at a high street price.

‘Dodo Juice’ will initially be available from online specialist retailers only, at a fraction of the cost of established brands.

“The most expensive carnauba waxes can cost up to £7000,” explained Dom Colbeck, the creator of Dodo Juice. “I thought it was time for a reality check – there is simply no need for a premium carnauba wax to cost much more than £30 given the cost of the raw ingredients.”

“Car enthusiasts were joking that the superwax being used by a few of the UK’s top car detailers had to contain something extremely rare and expensive to justify its price. I decided to name our wax after a fantasy ingredient – something that would be difficult to obtain and therefore highly priced – the bodily secretions of an extinct animal. Dodo Juice was born.”

The Dodo Juice range contains both soft and hard waxes, and is available in standard and ‘colour-charged’ varieties retailing from £29.50 inc VAT. The company claims that all Dodo Juices waxes are easy to apply and remove, leave a deep, durable shine (even on silver) and exhibit tight beading when wet.

Soft waxes:

• Dodo Juice Rainforest Rub – a generic soft wax with candelilla wax as well as carnauba
• Dodo Juice Light Fantastic (‘colour-charged’ for light coloured cars) – a natural coloured carnauba wax with added coconut oil
• Dodo Juice Orange Crush (‘colour-charged’ for warm coloured cars) – made with yellow beeswax, carnauba and added orange oil
• Dodo Juice Purple Haze (‘colour-charged’ for dark coloured cars) – a dark carnauba/montan wax blend

Hard waxes:

• Dodo Juice Banana Armour – a hard wax that applies extremely thinly and consistently, made with yellow beeswax and carnauba.
