Where was this at Christmas time Morgan? While the EV3 Junior still looks a very smart little electric vehicle, early February doesn't really seem the best time to launch it. Let's hope there are some generous parents out there...
When a Junior becomes a senior Morgan
Clearly based on the full size EV3, this Junior is also handmade and features a carbon fibre body, wooden dash and hand-stitched leather. Indeed your mini Morganista can choose from black or tan hide, as well as Sport Red, Sport Green or Sport Ivory paint. If none of those appeals to the little darlings, then any colour from Morgan's 40,000-strong range can be used "at a small cost." Sounds like a slippery slope.
In terms of performance, the EV3 Junior is capable of 10mph going forwards and a "limited speed" in reverse. Some way behind the 100mph of the full car, but probably more than enough if you're six. If they make a bid for freedom one Sunday afternoon, they shouldn't get too far as the range is said to be 10 miles. Charge time is four hours and the Junior has full CE certification, whatever that means for small electric vehicles.
Before any fancy paint or upholstery has been selected, the EV3 Junior costs £7,995. The little ones best be worth it, put it that way. There's even a standard 12-month warranty, so there'll be at least a year of (hopefully) unfettered joy before they decide they want something else. Available to order now!
