Think a Porsche Boxster carries the best residuals?

Think again: it's the Nissan 350Z. According to Autocar's Insider Dealing column, the extra options you have to add to make the German car resalable (as well as liveable with) mean that it will lose 18 per cent of its value after a year.

The muscular 350Z on the other hand is said to be among the most wanted cars on the used market. The price falls only 13 per cent after a year, said the report.

So if you want a great car plus top residuals, buy a Nissan. Never thought I'd ever write that....
