If you fancy a weekend's driving across the country in a good cause, then you could do worse than check out the Drive4Life Web site. The plan is to drive for 1,000 miles, starting Saturday 27 May, all in aid of the charity Cancer Research UK.
It will start in Liverpool. Drivers will set off at one-minute intervals to a location in Scotland which will only be revealed to them once they leave the starting line. Once drivers have reached this check point and checked in they will then head south to a four-star hotel in Newcastle, the second and final checkpoint of the day. The next day sees an early start, a possible visit to the French Car Show, and finishing back in Liverpool on the Sunday night -- followed by a party.
