The Detroit auto show continues to throw up new models, as befits motor town, so here's the latest crop. among the stars has to be the Aston Martin Rapide, the company's four-door version of the gorgeous DB9. The Ferrari GG50 -- a Giugiaro-designed concept -- makes its second showing, some classic American muscle, and there's Volvo's first entry -- in recent times anyway -- into the premium hatch market. And there are concepts a-plenty...
As yesterday, thanks to Nauman Farooq and Bhupender Kapur for the images and reportage.

Toyota Volta
The Giugiaro-designed carbon-fibre body seats three people abreast and features drive-by-wire controls, allowing you to position the steering wheel and pedals in front of any one of them. The Volta's 408-hp 3.3-litre V6 is boosted by an electric motor for each axle, providing 435 miles on a 13.7-gallon tank and 0-60 acceleration in four seconds.
Ferrari GG50
The show also saw the Ferrari GG50, a reskinned 612 Scaglietti, which was first shown at the Tokyo show in October -- see link below for PistonHeads' original story. A little shorter than the original, with a fastback tail, the one-off prototype looks compact and not a little retro, with its low, rear-mounted cabin.
Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder
A new car for 2007, the range-topping Eclipse Spyder GT mates a 3.8-litre 258bhp V6 MIVEC engine to either a six-speed manual transmission or a sport-mode equipped five-speed automatic.
Audi Roadjet
Four-door, four-seat fastback with 300bhp from a 3.2-litre V6 and a seven-speed DSG transmission -- the all-new A4, effectively.
Dodge Challenger
More of this iconic muscular motor.
Jaguar XK
Official pricing was revealed at the show, with prices starting from £58,955 for the coupe and £64,955 for the convertible.

Mazda Kabura
With its front-engine, rear-drive layout, Mazda sees the Kabura concept as "supporting youthful lifestyles", with its 3+1 seating arrangement. The blurb continues: "Obliging spur-of-the-moment adventures and shopping sprees, all passenger seats fold flat to make way for snow boards, shopping bags and all the tools of an active life. While Kabura has the presence of an exotic sports car, it has the practicality and affordability that youth can yearn for and afford."
Volvo C30
The Ford-owned Swedish carmaker has decided that it needs to be in the premium hatch market, competing in there with the likes of the BMW 1-Series. Hence the C30, here in its first public outing.
