Quicksilver Sports system for AM DB9
Does your DB9 sound rorty enough? QuickSilver Exhausts has designed a stainless steel exhaust system "so the Aston Martin DB9 driver can enjoy a level of sound appropriate to the AM name".
There are no intrusive tones at low or middle engine speeds, said the company, allowing the car to continue being used as a daily driver.
The QuickSilver Sports system for the DB9 allows increased exhaust gas speed and volume, producing a noticeable improvement in throttle response. The driver will enjoy a higher pitched, crisper exhaust note with more volume as revs increase. A weight reduction of over 12kg over the standard unit means handling and braking are improved as weight is removed from the rear of the car, said the company.
- Unique crisp sound rising in proportion with rpm
- Dyno tests awaited – about 20bhp improvement, more torque and better throttle response expected by maker
- Weight reduction from rear of car – 12.2Kg lighter than stock
- Accelerated gas-flow draws heat away more efficiently to reduce under-floor temperatures
- Entirely manufactured from aircraft grade 304 austenitic stainless steel including the flanges
- Bolt-on fit
