James Bond's Aston Martin Vanquish -- as seen in Die Another Day -- was sold for £144,500 at an auction this weekend. It was the highest ticket item on the day.
The sale, held in Newport Pagnell by auction house Bonhams, was entirely made up of Bond memorabilia and included five signed photos of Bond actors which went for £14,950.
Meanwhile, the new James Bond, to be played by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, due out in November, has said that he's afraid of heights and a fan of automatic cars.
He said that shooting scenes high on cranes and even at the top of a flight of stairs triggered his vertigo. He also hates guns, Martini, and said that he couldn't get on with the Aston Martin DBS -- built especially for the film and not due for general release until next year -- because it had a manual gearshift. "I don't do gears", he reportedly said.
